So she tries to be quick and be done before they begin to get a handle on what is happening. If you’ve been watching My Hero Academia for a while now, you no doubt are very familiar with the various characters in the series. Their mind-reader’s quirk is one of my favorites because it’s a two-way street-the person she’s telepathically tapping into can peer into her mind, too, as it’s going on. So she has to decide if she wants to be strong, be fast, or be able to take a beating. The “stat booster” hero can only boost one aspect of her physicality at a time, and has to rest between uses. One character has a shadow doppelgänger, but it doesn’t always do what the character wants. The fire user burns up a bunch of the oxygen in the area to combust, which means she has to hold her breath to use or sustain her power, and risks taking it from others nearby as well. That makes it incredibly difficult for her to use the portals herself, and harder to surprise anyone with them. The problem is she has to have one hand pointed at each portal location or it collapses. The “teleporter” actually opens portals similar to the Portal game. My kids have made up some of their own characters that have some of the powers listed above, and I like how they’ve tempered the abilities: I like Todoroki’s psychological resistance to using fire. It’s what makes One For All not a Deus Ex Machina. I think any quirk that doesn’t come with a cost is potentially OP. The character can manifest psychic illusions that feel real to anyone who hears the character speak (this is strongest power I have ever made, and to limit it, the character is nearly mute for various reasons, and mostly communicates through sign language). (This one is a bit op, but the idea was they are a hair stylist, so I liked it) The character can control the hair of someone just by touching it. The character can conjure gambling pieces from their knuckles. They have varying levels of quality, but my main goal is to just be specific and weird.Īnything the character holds in their right hand can be duplicated for a short period of time into their left hand. Here’s a few quirks that I have come up with. Quirks can be so incredibly outlandish, but on here, they’re pretty samey. Like there’s a guy who can conjure camera lenses on his body. Not enough quirks are-to put it simply-weird enough. Lemillion is an excellent example of a mediocre at best quirk being used superbly. Living with certain powers you naturally get a good idea for how they work and can be creative with them. A lot of people don’t consider how a quirk impacts a person.
